Ustaza Iram Zafar, is a well known preacher, teacher of Quran and social worker. She is the first one to translate the Holy Quran in Potohari language and teach it along with its tafseer in many villages of Potohar. She has a firm command and grasp over the language, as this is her native language. A rare combination though, her command and fluency in English is also amazing.

She has a large following of international students learning various aspects of Deen and Quran tafseer. Additionally, she is teaching tafseer in Urdu too. She relies only on authentic sources of knowledge, and her heart and passion for the Quran reflects in her talks. Her students love her for her simplicity, integrity and soft temperament.

She was born in Nowshera, Pakistan in Dec 1962. Her father Brig. Riaz-ul-Haq, was a hardworking thorough soldier, who was highly conscious of halal and haram earnings. He had a deep influence on her personality and instilled a deep sense of discipline, hard work and honesty in her. She spent all the years of her schooling in Presentation Convent High School, because of which she gained a command over English, and her debating skills were also polished. She did her Bachelors from F.G College for Women in Psychology as it was her favourite subject. She did not have any access to Deen during that time, but her heart was always inclined towards Allah. She married Raja Mujahid Zafar a businessman, after her bachelors. Her inclination towards Deen kept on increasing with the passage of time.

Later on she did a private tafseer course for four and half years. She studied from Al Huda and Mahad Taleem Tazkia, doing various courses. Then for the next five years she wrote an English tafseer, consulting eight leading tafaseer. She started teaching tafseer class after that. A few years later, with her zeal to work more, she formed a welfare organization by the name of Al Sakeenah.  Al Sakeenah consisted of various departments of social welfare, out of which the most famous is Al-Jariyah, which is always on the go to dig wells in water scarce areas, quenching the thirst of thousands. She has a dedicated team of volunteers that assist her in conducting enlightening workshops, giving medical advice and helping the poor in whatever way they can. Alhamdullillah Al Sakeenah is functioning well with its Dawah Wing and Welfare Wing, with zeal and enthusiasm. And it aspires to work more and
enhance and expand its sphere.

Recently Ustaza Iram Zafar, has been specially blessed for getting the opportunity to teach various books of Aqeeda and tafseer in the study circle of Masjid e Nabwi (Sallalahu Alaehe Wassalm) in English, and her recorded teachings are being used in many institutions of Madina. She considers this a gracious reward of the Al Mighty on her, for which she is ever indebted.

Her husband is very appreciative of her work and tries to support and facilitate in every way he can. And so are her two children.
