SURah Al-Fatihah verse (6-7)

The path of those on whom you have bestowed your grace. Now as to who these people are another verse of the Quran gives us details in the following words and this is chapter 4 verse 69 ”those whom Allah has blessed namely the prophets the siddiquen the shuhdah and the writers”. Now these are four categories who find favor with Allah and among them, the prophets are the greatest. The siddiquen are those people who are in the second grade. The siddiquen are those who acquire spiritual perfection and thus attain the highest ranks amongst the followers of a prophet like for example the sahabah and in common words, they are just men of Allah and saints. Thirdly comes the shuhdah who scarifies even their lives for the sake of their faith or this also includes those who have been witness to the truth because this word shaheed carries both the meaning of the one who sacrifices his life for the sake of Allah and the one who witnesses the truth. The righties or the sahleheen the fourth category are those who follow the shariah completely not only in the matters of obligations which is the wajibat but also about the commendable acts that is the mustahab actions and in everyday language they are called the pious or the virtuous of the good people then this verse positively determines the straight. First, the people have been identified that these are the people who are on the straight path and now the straight path has to be identified which has been followed by these four categories of men. The next verse by a process of elimination thus the same in a negative manner by saying that GHAYRI MAGHDOOBI ALAYHIM WALADDAALEEN neither of those who have incurred your wrath nor of those who have gone a straight. Now those who have incurred Allah’s wrath are the people who despite being quite familiar with the commandace of Allah go against them because he doesn’t suit them or what we say because of their desires or in other words who are deficient in obeying the Divine injunctions. This, for example, was the condition who were ready to sacrifice their religion for the sake of petty wealthy gains and used to insult sometimes even went to the extreme of killing their prophets because the teachings did not suit their desires as for the dalean this means those who go a straight they are the people who out of ignorance or lack of knowledge lack of thought go beyond the limits set by Allah and they indulge in excess an exaggeration regarding the religious matters. This for example has generally been the error of the Christians who exceeded the limits of their prophet and turned him into a god. Now the next issue that comes is that which is the key to the straight path, how to determine the straight path. Allah subhana watallah in the holy Quran has besides the prophet (PBUH) included those who will always be found living amongst us till the last day of the world and namely these are the siddiquen the shuhdah and the writers. According to a hadees when the prophet (PBUH) informed his companions that like earlier communities his umah to be divided in to 70 or 72 sects or the only one among those sects would be on the right path or the straight path and they wanted to know  as to which group it would be which is this group which we know is on the right path so the answer he (PBUH) give also leads on to certain men of Allah or he (PBUH) said those who follow my way and the way of my companions this is the most comprehensive definition of the straight path “ those who follow my way and the way of my companions” so two things are necessary for the physical and spiritual wellbeing of success of man that is the book of Allah which contain guidance for every sphere of human life and the men of Allah who help in making this guidance effective so basically two thing two tools two ways in which you can get on the straight path one is the book of Allah and the second is the righteous people or the men of Allah who will help you in understanding this book and the way to prophet from the men of Allah is to access them according to the well known principles  of the book see how would a naive person know that many people claim to be men of Allah how would he check how would he access  that who is truly a man of Allah so it is those who do not confirm to these principles. They should not be regarded as men of Allah see there is certain set of rules, set of principles if a man comes up to the criteria  then he is from among the men of Allah and in case he does not confirm to these principles  then he should not be regarded as a man of Allah but when one has found men of Allah in their real sense one should seek their guidance  in order to understand the meaning of the book of Allah and act upon it and  another important aspect of this surah is through ot structure it teaches man that how to pray and how to make request to Allah and the proper method is that one should began by fulfilling ones obligation to prays Allah then one should offer the pledge of complete alliance to Allah to the affect that one does not regard  anyone or anything accept Allah as being  worthy of adoration and worship and not just one look upon anyone except Allah as having the real power to give help in ones distress or ones need and finally one should pray for what one wishes for  and there is every hope that a prayer made in this manner will be granted and the surrah also suggest that in praying  to Allah one should pray for something  so comprehensive that it includes in a sense all the possible humans goes for example pray for being  guided in the straight path because if one can  and just follow the straight path in everything that concerns this world or the other ones material or spiritual life one need not be afraid  of stumbling or being hurt.
